Find universities by your TOEFL score

Four tier pages, one per round-number TOEFL threshold. Each page lists the verified universities whose published undergraduate and graduate floors are at or below that score, plus the 2026 1-6 band equivalent and a reality-check on the admitted-student distribution.

Why four tiers and not seven

In our verified directory of 38 universities, the published TOEFL minimums cluster heavily at 80, 90, and 100. A page for every 5-point increment (80, 85, 90, 95, 100) would add only 2 to 3 universities per intermediate page, which produces near-duplicate content. We have chosen instead to publish tier pages at the four breakpoints where the qualifying-university list changes materially: 80 (entry tier, 6 universities), 90 (mid tier, 16 universities), 100 (top tier, 37 universities), and 110 (elite tier, all 38 universities).

If your TOEFL is between two tiers (for example 88), use the nearest lower tier, since your score clears every minimum on that page. Also read the next tier up for context on what an extra 2 to 7 points would open.

How this list is sourced

Every published TOEFL minimum on these pages comes from the universities' own admissions pages, last verified 2026-05-12. We do not aggregate user-submitted data, do not crowd-source numbers, and do not include any university whose published minimum we could not independently verify. See our editorial standards for the full sourcing and update policy.
