The TOEFL Reading section in the 2026 format consists of 2 modules with 35 total questions and a 12-minute time limit. Module 1 (20 questions) covers fill in the missing letters, read an email, read a text chain, and academic passage comprehension. Module 2 (15 questions) covers fill in the missing letters, read a notice, and read an email. Scores range from 1 to 6 on the new 2026 scale.
